Motiv8-Lancs - Who we are
We are a small Educational Community Interest Company who provide a wide range of structured meaningful educational learning activities for adults with a learning/physical disability, for people with a mental health need or for people who are socially isolated.
We deliver topics tailored to participants own individual learning needs to develop their social, functional, advocacy and interpersonal skills whilst participating in our activities. Topics such as: Gardening, Information Computer Studies, Healthy Eating/Cooking, Baking, Multi-sports, Dance/fitness and a wide range of Art/Crafts.
The skills to be developed are designed to encourage our participants to work and communicate together, gain confidence, share ideas, and improve literacy and numeracy whilst improving independence.
We also offer a bespoke service that will suit your clients learning needs and aspirations in order to live their life to the full, in a safe environment with people from the local community.

I am a fully qualified adult educational tutor who taught classes at King George V in Southport, Carr Head Adult Education College in Poulton and delivered up to ten sessions per week for Lancashire Adult Learning for eight years teaching a wide range of topics to many diverse groups.
I am very passionate about working with people who have learning disabilities and I aim to inspire them with a life-long love of learning.
It took me many years to find my vocation in life but what I do know is that I receive great job satisfaction delivering sessions to the people that I love working with.
I have delivered sessions working with people living with Dementia, Visually impaired/blind people, Family Learning, Summer Workshops For Children, people who are hard of hearing, people with Learning Disabilities, people with Mental Health Needs and many more to name.
We have worked and delivered many projects with support from various organisations such as: Greggs bakery whereby we distributed the end of day food to the homeless people living in Preston for two and a half years and currently continue to feed the homeless people serving soup to them on the streets of Preston by our group of dedicated volunteers.
We have delivered a woodwork project at Preston Probation, and an allotment project and many art/craft sessions at various Approved premises in Accrington and Preston, various art/craft sessions at The Harbour in Blackpool, a healthy eating and dance project at Calderstones in Whalley and many more to name.
We deliver also deliver bespoke workshops privately for large companies who would like to offer their guests additional art/craft activities throughout their stay and we have delivered many workshops at various Warner Hotels, venues such as: Gunton Hall, Thoresby Hall, Norton Grange Coastal resort, Butlins in Skegness and Alvaston Hall.
